The indomitable GAMMA then took on the seething hordes, shouting "I CAN'T HEAR MYSELF!". One exchange went ... Heckler: "Dada!" Gamma: "Mama!" Heckler: "Dada!" Gamma: "Mama! Mother! Mother of Invention!". Viewers of Esther Leslie's MERZ NITE video were amazed to find they could see these words written in Gamma's loose-leaf album. Was the alcoholic zappoglossologist WRITING THE AUDIENCE'S SCRIPT? This was Gamma's highpoint of the night (unless it was his "male-bonding" exchange with Evil Dick at the end of THE SOUND OF MERZIC).
